Dr. Shefrin is able to perform the following services:

 

1. Hatafat Dam Brit

In boys and men, who are already circumcised, a drop of blood is needed to be drawn from the circumcised part of the penis as part of the conversion process. Dr. Shefrin can perform this for you. This is often performed in the office.​ All matters relating to conversion should be discussed with your Rabbi who is guiding the conversion process.​

 

2. Milah L'shem Gerut

This is a circumcision ceremony which is performed in cases where the birth mother of the child is not Jewish. Parents are encouraged to speak with their Rabbi regarding the process of conversion after the Bris. If the family is unaffiliated with a Rabbi,  Dr. Shefrin will refer them to a Rabbi to learn more about the process of conversion for the baby. The Milah L’Shem Gerut represents the first step toward formal conversion of the baby to Judaism.
